Rested up and ready to go!

Today was the first day of Term 3:

Coming back from two weeks holidays I thought "its going to be good to see everybody after the holidays - it's good to catch up" -Toby

"I was happy to come back because I miss my friends and the staff" - Chiara

"I was looking forward to seeing everyone, all the staff. I missed Art and missed working on Music" -Michelle

This Term:

"I'm excited that the play is almost here"-Toby

"I love my drama. Playing Whoopi is going to be amazing!" - Chiara

"I'm looking forward to being in the next play. I'm going to invite my Mum and Dad"-Michelle

Today:

"Today we had Michael and watched highlights of me. I was in the movie that we made (about the disability act) on the weekends"

"I liked watching it"-Chiara

" How do you reckon my performance was out of ten?" - Toby

" I'll go for twenty!" -Chiara,

" Nine out of Ten" - Michelle

After watching the short film:

"Renato was on the keyboard. Michael wanted him to record some sound over stuff for the short film he is making"-Toby

"People were talking about Trust and Funding in the short film" - Chiara

"We went to Lentil's and I had a nice hot chocolate" -Michelle

The Holly Snail Creeps Closer

Today in drama, we had fun and are looking forward to performing our play on the Rosina theatre stage. Today we shared our ideas and enjoyed writing and rehearsing the play, although we were busy we managed to squeeze in a quick conga line massage. By the time the class was over, we were all ready for some timeout and a hot cup of tea or coffee.

Fun time in the city

Last Friday I went into the city with my Drama teacher James. We had a great time and James was so funny. I like going to my drama class because I get to meet new friends and have others to talk to. We had a good time in the city and I took some photos of our funny day.

Drama Update

Drama class was great this morning. We went through our vocal and body warm ups before rehearsing our lines. I like going to drama class because I am always learning new skills and ways to improve my acting abilities. James, my drama teacher, always reminds me to look up when I speak so that people can hear me better.

Shy but talented joins in

In today's drama class, Chiara and myself were very excited to get a new edition in our play. That is, Ryan, one of our quieter co-students, decided to join in and participate with the group. With joint effort, Ryan, myself and James (drama teacher) came up with a fantastic character for Ryan to play- 'George of the jungle'. Both Chiara and myself had a great time rehearsing our lines together with Ryan.

Robin Hood's annoying start to the show: week 9

This week in Drama class we continued to both discuss and develop our characters. After our vocal warm up, scenes one and two were practiced with James our drama teacher. Scene one begins with an introduction by Robin Hood welcoming everyone to the play when technology takes a turn for the worst and comes alive…literally! As the play continues Robin Hood runs into many obstacles and today encountered a very interesting and intelligent mermaid whose purpose it was to keep the holy snail away from Robin Hood.
